Unyielding Struggle: Gaza's Humanitarian Crisis and the Global Call for Action

In Gaza, innocent Palestinian men, women, youth, and children, along with their homes and property, are enduring continued bombardment by #Israeli forces. Over 1,000 #Palestinians are tragically buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings. According to a United Nations report, the value of human life is rapidly deteriorating in this region. Approximately 3,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, while another 11,000 have been injured. More than one million people have become homeless, and an additional two million are struggling to survive, awaiting assistance that seems elusive. The capacity of mortuaries and cemeteries to accommodate the deceased is nearly exhausted. Basic necessities such as food, water, electricity, and other essentials have become scarce.

Ongoing attacks by the #Hamas and #Hezbollah organizations in Lebanon against Israelis, while concerning, cannot be equated with the relentless assaults by the Israeli army. The Israeli military, equipped with advanced American weaponry and resources, continues to target Gaza and other Palestinian territories through land, air, and sea operations. The United States maintains its military support for Israel, with another U.S. warship set to arrive in just ten days.

Israel receives backing not only from the United States but also from its allies and other imperialist powers. In addition to its military, Israel has begun arming its own Zionist citizens, raising concerns of potential large-scale violence against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

Iran has characterized the situation as approaching the inevitable final stage of a full-scale war. Meanwhile, the U.S. President, as the leader of a superpower with a significant responsibility for global peace, has continued to express support for Israel. His administration is actively providing military assistance to Israel.

Simultaneously, the U.S. Secretary of State is engaging in diplomatic efforts in Arab countries, attempting to persuade them to oppose Hamas by highlighting stories of Israel's "oppression." However, these diplomatic endeavors have not led to significant changes. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, while disassociating Hamas from representing all Palestinians, has not clarified why Israel and its imperialist supporters are targeting Palestinian lives.

Protests in support of Palestinians against Israeli aggression and American imperialism are taking place worldwide. Yet, these pleas for peace and justice seem to fall on deaf ears. While Islamic countries express verbal sympathy for the Palestinians, they appear constrained by political expediency from taking substantial actions to stop the atrocities against them. For example, Egypt has refused to open the Rafah border for foreign aid delivery to Palestinians.

At the international level, there is no comprehensive campaign for a ceasefire, and Israel's military commanders have been instructed not even to use the word "ceasefire." The Israeli Defense Minister has acknowledged that the conflict will be prolonged and that both sides will bear a heavy cost.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his "sympathies" to the presidents of Egypt and Syria. The World Health Organization has expressed particular concern about the situation in Gaza, where the death toll is rising as essential supplies such as food, fuel, water, and electricity are limited to just 24 hours, and Israel has declined to restore them.

Today, a profound humanitarian tragedy unfolds in this region, and the global community should actively engage to prevent it. Failure to do so may lead to a dire disaster affecting all of humanity.
