Protozoans can be
broadly classified into four major groups based on their mode of movement:
Amoeboid
Protozoans: These are protozoans that move by
extending their body in the form of pseudopodia, such as Amoeba.
Flagellated
Protozoans: These are protozoans that move by means
of flagella, such as Trypanosoma.
Ciliated
Protozoans: These are protozoans that move by means
of cilia, such as Paramecium.
Sporozoan
Protozoans: These are protozoans that do not have
any specific mode of movement and reproduce by means of spores, such as
Plasmodium.
